“To prepare for clinical practice, I researched a number of local districts that would accommodate the diversity and technology recommendations of my program. Early in my program I worked with my Teacher Education Specialist to obtain Fingerprint Clearance and to secure practicum placements for each course. I built my professional reputation with local districts by maintaining a professional demeanor through my communication, appearance and interactions with classroom teachers and principals. After reviewing my state’s certification requirements I studied for and successfully completed my certification exams. These helped me prepare for a successful student teaching attempt.”
